Description

Cedar Lake Trail Access leads to the wooded shores of Cedar Lake near Alto Pass in southern Illinois. Covering about 1,750 acres, the lake is framed by forests and the colorful bluffs of the Shawnee National Forest. National forest land reaches the southern end of the lake, where the water and surrounding woods create a peaceful setting for a quiet outdoor visit.
