Description

Spread across the rolling countryside near Perryville, Perryville Battlefield State Historic Site preserves the ground where the Battle of Perryville was fought on October 8, 1862. Often described as the largest and bloodiest Civil War battle in Kentucky, the clash brought Union and Confederate armies together during the campaign for control of the state.
