New Harmony State Park in Southern Indiana

We live close to Harmonie State Park, located just south of New Harmony, IN. It is a short drive for us to get there and visit.

As the fall colors were just starting to turn, we drove there with our grandkids. Harmonie State Park is one of the more under used State parks in Indiana. It hosts over 3,500 acres of ground that offer a wide range of activities for you to enjoy.

There are eight different picnic areas that are spread out around the park, and some have shelter houses on them that you can reserve for events. There are around 200 camping sights and a primitive youth camping area that is off to itself. There are miles of hiking trails, mountain bike trails, and day use horse trails. There used to be a large swimming pool that had some of the coldest water to swim in. The pool has been removed due to costly repairs and low use. They use this area to host different events during the year.

We did not take many pictures while at this park, but we did record the full drive around the park and also the camping areas. Which we posted on our YouTube Channel. You can also watch the video below.
