I found this recipe while googling for recipes that use sweet Italian sausage. I watched a video and the recipe looked really good, so I took notes and added my own flare.
I started the bake time at 350 degrees F and discovered that the sausages were not cooking as fast as I wanted. I checked the sausages after 30 minutes and decided to up the temp to 400 degrees F and cover the dish with foil. I let it bake another 15 minutes and the sausages were done. I believe that baking at 375 degrees F covered for 30 minutes then remove the foil and continue to bake another 15 to 20 so the cheese on top browns slightly and the sausages are fully cooked, will be the better baking temp and time.
This is how I learn how to cook things and become better at it. I use other cooking experiences and sometimes use direction from other recipes to create my own. You can get creative and put your flare onto recipes too!
Give this recipe a try, it is very delicious!
