Description

Battlefield Park preserves the site of the Battle of Richmond, a major Confederate victory fought in Kentucky on August 29–30, 1862. Walking trails lead through the historic landscape, while the visitor center and museum help explain the battle, the soldiers who fought here, and its place in the early years of the Civil War. Historic buildings and interpretive displays add depth to a visit that is both reflective and easy to explore at a measured pace.
