A Fast and Flavorful Weeknight Meal

This beef stir fry is one of my go-to recipes for a quick and satisfying family dinner. Tonight, I used beef sirloin steak, but this recipe is incredibly versatile — you can easily swap in chicken, pork, or even ground beef.

Prep takes a little time, mostly chopping vegetables, but the cooking itself is fast. If you prep ahead or use frozen veggies, you can have this ready in under 30 minutes.

Flavor Made Simple

For this version, I used Bachan’s Japanese Barbecue Sauce, which has a great flavor and works with almost any meat. You can find it at Costco, or substitute soy sauce, teriyaki, or your favorite sauce depending on your tastes.

Serve it over rice, noodles, or even enjoy it on its own — it’s flexible and forgiving. This is a great example of how recipes can be guides, not rules. Feel free to make it your own!
